Terms of Service

Last updated June 2026.

Agreement

These terms govern access to and use of CustodyLinx by an operator and the users it invites. By using the service, the operator and its users agree to them. Where a separate written agreement exists between an operator and CustodyLinx, that agreement controls.

The service

CustodyLinx is the operator's working system of record that helps pre-validate, file to, and reconcile against the government track-and-trace systems. The government system remains the authoritative system of record. Compliance outcomes depend on accurate and timely operator input.

Accounts and access

Access is invite-only and role-based. Operator administrators are responsible for the users they invite, the roles they assign, and keeping credentials secure. Access is enforced in the database by row-level security on a default-deny model.

Acceptable use

Use the platform only for the lawful movement of product you are licensed to handle. Do not attempt to falsify the chain of custody, the audit log, or any regulatory filing, to circumvent tenant isolation, or to disrupt the service.

Operator data and ownership

Operators own their data. We process it to provide the service and as described in the Privacy Policy. The custody and audit logs are append-only and immutable, which is intrinsic to their evidentiary value.

Regulator filings

When connections are configured and the operator instructs it, CustodyLinx submits to the relevant government systems and reconciles against them. Every submission is logged with actor and a payload reference. The operator remains responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of its filings.

Security and availability

We maintain tenant isolation, encryption of sensitive identifiers, private document storage with short-lived signed access, and a tamper-evident custody log. Availability targets, support, and onboarding terms are set per engagement.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Except as expressly agreed in writing, the service is provided on an as-available basis. CustodyLinx does not provide legal or regulatory advice; operators remain responsible for their own compliance obligations. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited as set out in the applicable order or agreement.

Changes, termination, and governing law

We may update these terms as the product and obligations evolve and will note material changes. An operator may stop using the service at any time, subject to recordkeeping obligations that require certain data to be retained. Governing law and venue are as stated in the applicable agreement.
